Handprinted A Fabric Swap Part 2

Here is my second fabric for two of my swappers-one in Australia and one in The US. This is actually my latest screen which I printed in this yummy green onto a natural linen. I had this idea of a woodland fabric in my head and was pleased to find it almost pouring out of my pencil onto paper a few weeks ago. It was the first time in ages that the screen exposure went well, the inks mixed into the blend of green I had pictured so all in all,  I am rather chuffed at the final result.

Handprinted Fabric Swap

I wanted to show you one of the fabrics I created for the Handmade Fabric Swap hosted over here. I love this doiley screen as it was one of my first and the fact that I scanned my Nana's doileys into my computer to help create the screen. I do hope that two of my fabric swappers will love their fabric. In future, I must remember to iron my fabric before I photograph it-can you see the creases!!

Scrap Bag Swap The Goodies

So I sent my goodies off and then I waited and it wasn't too long before my good old postie delivered some wonderful fabric goodness. Take a look at this:
A big thanks to Cat for taking the time to create such a beautiful bag for me and for filling it with such a great array of fabric scraps-perfect really for a fabric addict such as myself.

Geek Vs Hipster

Not really a typical post but I saw this on Pinterest and it made me giggle...do you agree with the definitions?

Scrap Bag Swap

This is my second year participating in Nin's from The Wardrobe Scrap Bag Swap.  I have some photos of my contribution but they are pretty bad as our camera has died and I was attempting to use our old camera to snap them...pretty poor quality huh! Even editing them on pic monkey seemed to make little difference but hopefully you get the idea.
I was a little pressed for time so I made my reversible bag but played a little with the normal pattern to make it larger, more roomy and hopefully more useful too. So off went my scraps and bag to Clare in Nelson who by the way has an amazing and inspiring blog. Now I get to wait and see what will be coming in the mail for me and that, is kind of exciting!!

Monster March Market

Last weekend I was lucky to have a stall at The Craft Collective's Monster March Market. I was pretty pleased with my stall but typically forgot to take some detailed photos, I was debuting my new Woodland screen, cushions made from vintage sheets and some new softies named Squiggly Bops by my girls. Mister took a photo as he wandered by and if you use your bionic eye you will be able to see the items I'm writing about.
